“We Are ALL Connected” framework
Men as Peacemakers takes a comprehensive, holistic approach to building a violence-free future where everyone can thrive. We believe communities are most successful in achieving long-term, sustainable change when primary prevention, restorative justice practices, and healing and wholeness are integrated into the community-based solutions that address gender-based violence.
Primary Prevention: By focusing on primary prevention, we seek to eliminate the root causes of violence, creating safer communities and reducing gender-based violence before it occurs.
Restorative Justice: Complementing this, restorative justice initiatives aim to repair and heal communities while helping individuals show accountability and reintegrate into community, which is crucial for preventing future violence.
Healing and Wholeness: Additionally, healing and wholeness programming provide essential support for communities in building towards a interdependent future where everyone belongs, our individual and collective physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs are attended to, and everyone has a role in alignment with their gifts and strengths.
