Chuck Walt has worked as an administrator for the Fond du Lac Reservation Human Services Division for the past 19 years. Mr. Walt has a B.A. degree in Health Science and Dietetics from the College of St. Scholastica and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Walt is an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. He is married and has two children.
Fletcher Hinds graduated from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis with a Masters of Social Work degree. He has since worked as a human service professional for more than 30 years. He has worked with children, the chemically dependent and the disabled. He has also worked on programs that address poverty and homelessness. He has volunteered with the Duluth Community Action Program, In-School Mentoring, the Boy Scouts, the Duluth Preservation Alliance and the Duluth Sister Cities Program. He is also active in the Veterans community. Fletcher is married with two grown children. He and his family have lived in Duluth for 29 years. He is currently employed by the St. Louis County Department of Public Health and Human Services.
Mary Engels works as a Specialist in Leadership Development for the SMDC Health System, primarily in the areas of Leadership Development Programming, Employee Engagement and Diversity Training. She has a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration from the
Matt Johnson is a Child Protection Social Worker in the Initial Intervention Unit at St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services where he has worked since 2002. He is also an adjunct instructor in the Social Work Department at the College of St. Scholastica. Prior work experience includes being a Restorative Justice Program Coordinator for the MN State Committed Female Program, Supervisor and Counselor for a residential treatment program for the Wilder Foundation. Matt is married and the father of a young daughter. Interests include reading, sports, hiking, and camping.
Patricia Behning has been a Duluth Police Officer for over 25 years, 11 in investigations and 14 in patrol. Currently Patty is a Lieutenant in uniform patrol and the Central Area Commander. She is in charge of all of the police services (officers, sergeants and programs) in the Central Policing area. She supervises the five sergeants, five community officers, one school liaison officer, one property crime investigator and twenty patrol officers (including five k-9 officers) who work in the central area.
Bob Wahman practiced internal medicine at the Duluth Clinic beginning in 1968 and subsequently became the Medical Director of St Mary's Medical Center for 7 years prior to retiring in 1997. Since retirement he has served as a mentor for Mentor Duluth and on a number of boards, including the Duluth-Superior Symphony and the Duluth-Superior Community Health Clinic's board.

Steve is a native of Duluth Minnesota and has spent 15 years in development. He is Executive Director and CEO of SMDC Foundations, which is made up of an umbrella foundation and three affiliate foundations. SMDC (St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic) is a large nonprofit multi-hospital/ multi-clinic system headquartered in Duluth, Minnesota. SMDC has four hospitals, 17 community clinics, 6,600 healthcare professionals, and more than 400 physicians participating in 55 specialties.
Tom is director of international education at The College of St.Scholastica, Duluth. Prior to joining the College in 2001, Tom spent 25 years as a diplomat with the U.S. Foreign Service working at American embassies in ten countries, specializing in the Middle East and South Asia. Tom served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War period and was director of programming for the World Affairs Council of Minnesota from 1998-2001. He also teaches from time to time at UMD's University for Seniors. Tom frequently speaks and writes on international affairs.
